Black Cat Pizza

"Out last night in Palm Desert we were craving pizza, we tried to find a local place off the tourist strip of em paseo. We found Black Cat Pizza. Detroit style deep dish to bee exact. It was a Sunday night and we got there about 7pm. Lots of parking outside. The restaurant is relatively small, with about 10 to 12 tables and a small bar. The restaurant was about half full.The lighting is low. We were greated right away and told we could sit where ever we wanted. All the staff was attentive, friendly, and you could tell they actually cared about your experience. They let us try the wine and the beer before committing and went over the menu. We settled on brussel sprouts, a ceasar salad with actual anchovies, and the meat lovers pizza. All the dishes were excellent. The pizza had an almost foccacia style crust with a baked cheese wall crust. Epic. It came with 6 pieces, which was perfect for the 2 of us. As we were winding down dinner they sold their last pizza dough, so dont come too late in the night. $$"

"The food was worth the wait. We ordered the Arugula Citrus Salad and the Pepperoni and Hot Honey Detroit Style Pizza. The salad blew me away. It was a perfect blend of Arugula, hazelnut, feta, fennel, and grapefruit. The dressing was light and tangy. The pepperoni, cheese, and hot honey pizza was a perfect blend of salty, spicy, and sweet goodness. The Detroit Style really showcased the sauce and toppings. The yeasty, airy, crust definitely rounded out the full flavor experience of this pie. The service was friendly. It was a homey, casual vibe at the Black Cat Pizza."

"Wow! I’m so blown away by this PHENOMENAL pizza place. My new favorite! Staff were awesome and I settled on a Hot Honey Pepperoni. I’m normally not a fan of thick pizzas but this just WORKS. I’ve had GOOD pizzas, but it’s been over a decade since I’ve had an innovative one. These are works of art, very well done. I love the rockabilly vibe too. I’ll be rocking your shirt and spreading the word."
