"We came with our 3 year old son. This hotel has an 80’s/90’s luxury family hotel experience in the BEST way. There is a reason parents are bringing their young children back to this special hotel that they enjoyed as kids. Every single staff member we encountered was so kind and genuinely seemed to pride themselves on the service they provide families who are there making memories. There is special programming at “Camp Esmeralda” all day for the kids and there was a complimentary snow cone station on this summer weekend. The ladies running it said come back in winter for the lights and hot cocoa station. There are several pools, one with a sandy beach, one which is only 3 FTE deep the whole pool. A pool bar. There is a small arcade. Even the sundries shop there had quality items and not at a crazy markup. The rooms are nice, well maintained and clean. It was a great experience and we are already planning our next trip back."

"I recently stayed at the Esmeralda Renaissance and had a very pleasant experience overall. The location in Indian Wells is unbeatable, and the service was truly excellent across the board—every staff member I encountered was professional and helpful. I also enjoyed the opportunity to rent a bike for a couple hours, which is included in the daily resort fee. Electric vehicle charging on-site is free - yippee! However, there were a few drawbacks regarding the room. In 2026, it’s a bit disappointing to find a premium resort at this price point that hasn't updated its rooms with USB-C charging ports. Additionally, the walls felt quite thin; I could clearly hear noise from the hallway, neighboring guests, and the music/activity from the pool area throughout the day. If you’re a light sleeper, you might want to request a room away from the main pool. Overall, it's a beautiful spot, but a few interior updates would go a long way."
