Local history & a museum about dates. Complex including a restored 1909 school house, a 1930s home & a museum dedicated to the date palm.
"A hidden piece of history that more people need to know about! I learned quite a bit across the many sections, including the date museum, schoolhouse, and gardens. The house & indoor sections are air-conditioned, which is a huge plus. The only the descriptions and information flow could be more organized. After 30 years of coming to the desert, I'm glad I finally found this place, they just need to do a better job of marketing & organizing events so others can find it too!"
"Very well-done Museum housed in a 1920s Adobe building that served as a doctors office and residence. Additional buildings included a dentist office, blacksmith shop, schoolhouse and auditorium. Grounds are beautiful. First full weekend of each month is free admission."
"We really enjoyed our visit to the Coachella Valley History Museum. It was interesting and educational, perfect for both kids and adults. The exhibits were engaging and gave us a good sense of the area's history. The staff was helpful and added to our overall positive experience. It's a great spot for a family outing."
